Here we go fam. Another anime live-action movie is heading our way. The Gintama film will screen in the United States, Canada, Germany, Spain, and Central and South America. I was unfortunately unable to find any details on the time line or where in the US it will be airing.
It has been released in a few Asian countries such as Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and a couple others. As of last week or so the movie was released in Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand. Some time this week it will start showing in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia. September 1, this movie will have the largest opening any Japanese film has ever had in China.
It opened in Japan on July 14, and it earned 980 million yen, which is around $8.9 million US, in its first four days. On top of that it also inspired a live-action net show that debuted on Docomo’s dTV streaming service on July 15, one day after the film’s opening. They don’t mess around over there.
I’ve come across a couple fan reviews and the word is really positive. I’m very existed to check it out myself and share my thoughts and feelings with all of you here! If you are one of the lucky ones that have seen it already feel free to comment what you thought about it. (hold the spoilers) And if you haven’t comment on how excited you are for it! Assuming your not against the live-action adaptions of anime. If you are then tell us why.
Here’s the link to the trailer! CHECK IT OUT!
